For those of you not in-the-know, Pioneer Day is a Utah State holiday which celebrates the Pioneers and the struggles they faced in their travels westward.
Monroe puts on a great celebration during Pioneer Days with all kinds of events including a parade, kids games, food, and rides!
I have been "Kenny's brother" my whole life. It started in grade school when I would get one of the teachers he had a couple years before me. "Are you Kenny's brother?" they would always ask. It continued through high school, and today it still continues in the small town of Manti, UT where both my brother and I live. When I tell people my last name, I know what's coming next. "Are you related to Kenny?" Yes I am. We are The "Other" Kirkhams.

Potter's Pond...Fairview Canyon
During Pioneer Days, my mom and Dave went camping up at Potter's Pond in Fairview Canyon. I had never been up there, so Melanie, Ethan, and I decided to go for a drive to visit them.
We kinda got lost driving around up there, but we got to see quite a bit of the canyon. Here are some of the shots we took.

Fairview Rodeo
This year was a little more exciting for Ethan, since he is at the age where he is a little more aware of what was going on. He loved watching the horses and bull-riders, but his favorite thing to watch was the tractor that came out after each event to even out the dirt!

Helicopter!
How cool is this? Melanie went on a trip up north with her mom to get some papers signed at the doctor. While they were waiting they saw one of the life-flight helicopters and took Ethan to look at it. He loves "airpanes" and "helicoppers", so this was a huge deal for him. Well, as they were looking at it, one of the pilots came out and asked Melanie if she had a camera on her!
